The lovely people at Duke Energy were cited for illegally dumping 61 MILLION gallons of toxic coal ash waste into NC waterway. Did you know that for the clean water-hating company, the spill was the eighth time in a month that Duke was accused of environmental violations? It’s those pesky regulations, you see.
Of course, no one-percenter will go to jail.
Plus, the scum suckers of Duke want to pass the costs of cleanups of their negligent spills on to customers, which caused a recent protest in the North Carolina capital.
How soon before the GOP legislators of North Carolina – that are bought and sold by the energy sector – will try to make it illegal to fly over and film their buddies’ abuses? Think I’m crazy saying that? Remember the Exxon oil spill in 2013 in that neighborhood in Arkansas and how Exxon prevented media from flying over the spill? ExxonMobil requested and was granted a no-fly zone from the FAA, and media had to ask for the evil oil overlords’ permission before being allowed to fly over the site.
