Seriously, how much more proof are we going to need that fracking is a massive shit sundae being spoon fed to us so the super-rich can get super-richer, future generations be damned?
According to a story on StateImpact, an NPR site, two retired Department of Health employees in Pennsylvania are claiming that when it came to natural gas, oil, fracking, etc., the word from above was to deflect.
Former PA state employee:
“There was a list of buzzwords we had gotten. There were some obvious ones like fracking, gas, soil contamination. There were probably 15 to 20 words and short phrases that were on this list. If anybody from the public called in and that was part of the conversation, we were not allowed to talk to them.”
Another guy says that state nurses were told not to respond to comments about pollution-related health complaints.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but those government-type workers are supposed to work for us, the public… right?
Apparently not.
Even amidst recent reports that fracking wells are leaking methane like irritable bowels after Indian food, it looks like our government – our elected “representatives” – are firmly suckling cash and power from the saggy, hairy, white teats of their Big Energy overlords.
Call those corporatist, Ayn-Randian sociopaths in office and let them know that the trust funds they leave their crotch spawn won’t mean crap in the poisoned, resource-starved, Mad Max future they are creating.
