Anti-cruelty crusaders Mercy for Animals hired investigators who secretly filmed horrific abuses at an Idaho farm, leading to charges against farm employees and rightful public outrage. So, of course, in response, the corporate-controlled (GOP) legislature introduced a bill to make it a crime to record audio and/or film at an agricultural facility.
State Senator Jim Patrick, R (of course) from Twin Falls sponsored S1337 – also known as “The Ag Gag Bill” – which says someone (employee or not) who records abuse at a dairy or farm would be in violation and get up to a $5,000 fine and a year in jail.
#CallToClaws (our CrabDiving version of a “call to arms”)
This is a #CallToClaws for everyone out there that thinks we need MORE transparency in the way we get our food, and to those who hate animal cruelty. Below are some relevant links. Let these guys know how you feel and that we will be BOYCOTTING Idaho and its products if this fascist bill becomes law.
