In a pathetic and stammering bigot tapdance on Sunday, Indiana’s GOPTea-loony Governor Mike Pence refused to answer George Snuffleupagus’ simple, yes-or-no question as to whether the heinous “religious freedom” bill he signed into law would allow discrimination against gay people.
The Christian Taliban poster child repeated the completely false claim that the new law mirrors federal statute. It does not.
From The Atlantic:
“The problem with this statement is that, well, it’s false. That becomes clear when you read and compare those tedious state statutes. If you do that, you will find that the Indiana statute has two features the federal RFRA—and most state RFRAs—do not.”
The day following Pence’s sad babble on ABC, even his own Republican leaders in Indiana tossed him under the bus. Two top Indiana GOPers spoke with the press to “clarify” the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. When asked if they were doing so in response to the Governor’s poor showing, one of them uncharacteristically spoke the truth and said, “yes”.
With George Takei leading the celebrity #BoycottIndiana charge, Tim Cook of Apple expressing his dismay over the law, and a growing number of businesses pulling up stakes from Indiana, this governor and his GOP christo-mullahs better wise up fast and ashcan that disgusting legislation.
