School officials in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA have placed teacher Thomas Hammer on administrative leave a second time after a video of him going nuts and attacking some skateboarders last summer went viral.
Hammer was initially charged with felonies in the incident, and the school put him on leave, but when the charges were reduced to misdemeanors he was placed back in a second grade classroom. Parental outrage ensued after the insane Hammer-time video was publicized again.
In an interview with the OC Register, the shining example of a great educator took full responsibility for his actions. Just kidding – he’s blaming God:
“When I stepped in, I felt compelled by a higher power. Honestly, have you ever been grabbed by the Lord in a way you never thought you would or you could? That’s exactly what I’m testifying to, and I’m not speaking in hyperbole. I’m speaking right from the heart.”
The “God Made Me Do It” defense might easily convince a knuckle-dragging jury in Oklahoma or Mississippi, but in the heathen haven of California the parents are rightfully calling for this jerkoff’s head.
There are even some pinheads who claim the “educator” was defending himself from the second kid, who threatened Hammer with his skateboard. To use a legal term, that is “total bullshit”.
Here is the video. Judge for yourself.
