In an unsurprising 5-4 decision today, the theocratic-fascist majority of the Supreme Court handed a victory to right-wing ninnies Hobby Lobby, allowing the privately-held, Christian assholes who own the company to opt out of paying for insurance that covers contraceptives for their employees.
Of course the right is crowing that the decision is proof that ObammyCare is evil and so on. Turtle Head himself (Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-KY) smugly broke for a microphone to declare his undying hatred for affordable care for people:
“Obamacare is the single worst piece of legislation to pass in the last 50 years, and I was glad to see the Supreme Court agree that this particular Obamacare mandate violates the [law].”
This march backward into theocracy and misogynistic control over women’s decisions simply underscores the fact that we need to organize the left and make sure no more fascist dinosaurs make it to the bench.
