North Carolina representative Rene Ellmers shat forth some more of that great GOP outreach stuff on a recent panel regarding women and the Republican Party.
The second-term congressperson would really appreciate it if the men-folk would change their messaging for the confused, little fillies of ‘Merica:
Men do tend to talk about things on a much higher level. Many of my male colleagues, when they go to the House floor, you know, they’ve got some pie chart or graph behind them and they’re talking about trillions of dollars and how, you know, the debt is awful and, you know, we all agree with that … we need our male colleagues to understand that if you can bring it down to a woman’s level and what everything that she is balancing in her life — that’s the way to go.
She also points out that what women really most want is more time, you know, “more time in the morning to get ready.”
Oh yeah, Ellmers is chair of the Republican Women’s Policy Committee.
Of course, in record time Rep. Ellmers clog-danced away from her stupid, sexist remarks, claiming that they were “taken out of context”. The Washington Examiner has all of Ellmers’ comments for you to peruse and try to spot how they were allegedly misconstrued.
Best of luck in future elections, GOP Neanderthals, there are a lot of people sick to death of your old, white misogyny.
